Bought this mold and the chess/checker board mold from the same company. Worked well. The cake was made for a birthday party and was a huge hit! It didn’t come with instructions, so read up on making them if you are unsure. I filled the molds with chocolate and froze them until the were solid. I set those aside and made a fresh set. While those were freshly poured, I put the solid one on top to combine them as one piece. Pop back in the fridge or freezer. Washing with luke warm water to not warp the plastic and not scrubbing to hard to avoid scratching were useful info too.

We had a “Twilight” party for my daughter’s 10th birthday. We made white and black of the main chess pieces and red pawns, we put two together to look like real pieces, and put them in a candy gift box as a favor. They loved them, and could not believe we had made them. They are good size chess pieces. They are also simple to do. My daughter and her friend did most of the work.

Be careful taking out the King and Queen pieces, as they break easily. Other than that, it is a great mold made of heavy plastic.
